Sigma Information Group, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a System Administrator to manage and maintain servers, desktops, firewalls, network gear, and backup systems across multiple client environments.

This onsite role requires strong problem solving, customer communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects with varied deadlines. You will deploy and maintain Exchange, VMware, Windows Server environments, coordinate vendors, and build new network/server environments while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years IT management experience.
• Minimum 1 year as a network/system administrator or IT manager.
• Experience supporting multiple customers at an IT consultancy or MSP is a plus.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, Windows Server, and Office applications.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and related concepts.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Deploy complex solutions including Exchange, VMware, and Windows Server.
• Coordinate internal/external resources and vendors.
• Build new network and server environments.
• Manage, maintain, and upgrade existing servers, networks, and desktops.
• Maintain relationships with multiple customers and communicate status updates.
• Understand customer processes and recommend technology solutions.
• Solve complex technical problems including deployments and hardware issues.
