Job summary

The-Proactive-Technology-Group is seeking a hands-on infrastructure engineer to support deployments, client implementations, and network improvements across our managed client base. You will work across Windows servers, Microsoft 365, AD, and network gear to implement solutions with minimal disruption.

Travel to client sites is required for onsite work and collaboration with project, service, and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Strong background in systems administration and network engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common business apps.
• Experience configuring VLANs, firewalls, switching, wireless, and general network infra.
• Ability to execute technical work independently and follow defined processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting across infrastructure, network and end-user tech.
• Clear communication across project managers, service teams, and client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Execute infrastructure and systems implementation tasks across client environments.
• Deploy, configure, and support Windows servers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and related business systems.
• Assist with migrations, server upgrades, workstation deployments, and app rollouts.
• Document completed work, configurations, and findings in our ticketing/docs systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot switches, firewalls, VLANs, wireless networks.
• Assist with network refreshes, site deployments, and multi-site connectivity improvements.
• Provide escalated technical support for client issues involving servers, networking, Microsoft 365, and end-user systems.
• Travel onsite to client locations for deployments and remediation.
• Support after-hours maintenance windows, project cutovers, or emergencies when required.
