Job summary

Exigent Technologies is seeking an experienced MSP Field Systems Engineer - Level 2 to join our client-focused team. This field role covers New Jersey and New York City with a mix of on-site and remote support for endpoints, servers, networks, Microsoft 365, cloud services, and security.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of IT support, MSP experience, strong communication, and the ability to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional IT support experience in MSP/VAR/IT consulting
• Strong Windows desktop and server experience; MS 365, AD, email, cloud services
• Experience with business networks, virtualization, backup, security technologies
• Willingness to travel to client sites in NJ/NYC
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote support for desktops, laptops, servers, networks, Microsoft 365, cloud services, and security technologies
• Own assigned tickets through resolution or escalation
• Perform hands-on field engineering work including equipment installation and site deployments
• Assist with client onboarding, technology refreshes, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades
• Collaborate with internal engineers, project teams, client stakeholders, and third-party vendors
• Maintain accurate ticket notes, client documentation, inventories, and configuration records
• Follow security, change-management, escalation, and service delivery processes
• Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule
• Represent Exigent professionally and create a positive client experience
