Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. is seeking an Associate Scientist for the MSAT Development Services Laboratory in Portsmouth, NH. This site-based role offers exposure to process development, analytical development, and laboratory operations within a global life sciences organization.

You will execute laboratory studies, collect and analyze data, and prepare technical documents under guidance from senior team members. The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 0–2 years of biotechnology or lab operations experience preferred.
• Ability to follow scientific procedures and established laboratory practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to accurately document work and interpret data.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory studies and analytical testing following established procedures and scientific protocols.
• Collect, analyze, and document experimental data to support development activities.
• Prepare study protocols, reports, presentations, and other technical documentation with guidance from senior team members.
• Support laboratory operations, including equipment monitoring, maintenance, and documentation review.
• Participate in safety initiatives and maintain compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal project teams and provide updates on study progress and results.
• Complete required training and continue developing technical expertise across laboratory functions.
