Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Process Scientist, I for an on-site role in Portsmouth, NH. You will join the MSAT team to support technology transfer and commercial manufacturing activities in a GMP environment.

You will lead process transfer, develop understanding, author process docs, monitor performance, and support investigations, audits, and lot releases. A strong scientific background and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Master's degree or PhD preferred.
• Experience supporting manufacturing processes or technology transfer.
• Knowledge of GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Experience authoring and reviewing technical documentation.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead for technology transfer and manufacturing process support activities.
• Develop process understanding, perform risk assessments, and support process improvement initiatives.
• Author and review process descriptions, batch records, change controls, and other technical documentation.
• Monitor manufacturing performance, analyze process data, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support deviation investigations, root cause analysis, and product quality assessments.
• Represent MSAT on customer-facing and internal project teams, including audits and operational meetings.
• Support lot release activities and ensure compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
