Job summary

The City of Elizabethtown is seeking a Stormwater Compliance Inspector I to support the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) program. This role conducts post-construction inspections, illicit discharge investigations, and stormwater infrastructure mapping, coordinating with City staff, contractors, developers, and the public to ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include documentation, data management, and collaboration with the Stormwater Director.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years of experience in stormwater management or related field operations; OR equivalent combination.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pass background screening and drug testing program.

Responsibilities

• Perform post-construction stormwater inspections and IDDE investigations.
• Map and document stormwater infrastructure; maintain MS4 program records.
• Coordinate with City staff, contractors, developers, and the public to ensure compliance.
• Prepare inspection reports and enforcement records; support MS4 annual reporting.
• Respond to citizen requests and participate in emergency response activities as needed.
