Job summary

Brilla Schools in the Bronx seeks a Middle School Assistant Principal of STEM to translate our mission into daily practice by guiding instructional leadership, curriculum fidelity, and STEM-focused initiatives.

Reporting to the principal, the AP will coach teachers, supervise a STEM-focused caseload, analyze student data, and lead professional development while collaborating with families and campus teams to strengthen Tier 1–3 supports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution (Master’s Degree preferred).
• Two years teaching in an urban school serving predominantly low-income students with demonstrated STEM achievement results.
• Experience leading, managing, and coaching a team of adults in a charter school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach and supervise teachers; lead data-driven instruction and professional development.
• Collaborate with Principal to recruit, hire, and onboard staff.
• Lead Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavioral and instructional initiatives; monitor student outcomes.
• Plan and facilitate regular leadership meetings and family engagement activities.
