Hartford Public Schools seeks an assistant principal for Annie Fisher STEM Magnet School (K-8). The role centers on instructional leadership, closing achievement gaps, and maximizing learning in an urban, multi-grade setting.

You will lead Literacy and Math MTSS cycles, guide evidence-based literacy practices, support NGSS-aligned STEM, foster a positive school culture, and engage families and partners to advance equity and excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading MTSS in literacy and math.
• Proven urban magnet school instructional leadership.
• Strong communication with families and community partners.
• Knowledge of NGSS and literacy standards.

Responsabilités

• Partner with the principal to evaluate and strengthen academic programs.
• Shape the school's philosophy, vision, and policies.
• Lead MTSS cycles in Literacy and Math with data-driven interventions.
• Coach teachers in Tier 1 instruction and inquiry-based math.
• Foster STEAM programming and project-based learning.
• Collaborate with special education to align IEP services.
• Use data to drive instructional decisions and school improvement planning.
