Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferable experience supervising in athletics, recreation, education, or related fields.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in diverse environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise student athletes
• Stay current with coaching techniques and best practices
• Monitor student-athletes to prevent accidents and injuries
• Place student-athletes in positions to succeed not only in their sport, but also in life
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills including communication with staff, officials, media, students, parents, and facility staff
• Ensure that all safety measures are observed and equipment is cared for
• Attend all training sessions and staff meetings
• Work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Verify student-athletes are eligible by district policies
• Secure equipment and facilities after each usage
• Communicate with school administration, safe schools, custodial services and local authorities
• Engage with youth groups and support participation growth
• Be a positive role model for student-athletes
• Support all RSD athletics
