Job summary

Total Aviation Staffing, LLC in Uvalde, Texas, seeks an experienced MRO Quality Inspector to ensure FAA compliance and airworthiness on business aircraft at Garner Field Airport.

You will inspect aircraft, engines, and parts, review records, apply manuals and FAA data, and support audits and corrective actions with technicians and engineers.

Requires FAA A&P, 5+ years in maintenance/inspection, Part 145 experience preferred; IA preferred but not required; competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
• Minimum five years of aircraft maintenance, inspection, or quality experience.
• Required experience in FAA Part 145 repair-station operations.
• Proficiency in 14 CFR Parts 43, 65, and 145.
• Strong understanding of maintenance recordkeeping and airworthiness requirements.
• Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred but not required.
• Business jet and Part 135 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of aircraft, engines, components, and systems for FAA and customer compliance.
• Review work orders, task cards, and maintenance records for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify the use of current manufacturer manuals, FAA-approved data, and required technical documentation.
• Ensure parts meet identity, traceability, certification, and installation eligibility requirements.
• Document and resolve discrepancies and nonconforming work.
• Support quality investigations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Technicians, Crew Chiefs, Maintenance Management, and Engineering teams.
• Maintain inspection stamps, authorizations, and quality records.
• Support audits and major repair activities.
