Job summary

Total Aviation Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced MRO Quality Inspector for a client at Garner Field Airport in Uvalde, Texas. You will conduct thorough FAA-compliant inspections and ensure airworthiness, documenting findings and supporting corrective actions.

Ideal candidates hold an active FAA A&P certificate with 5+ years in maintenance and inspection, familiarity with Part 145 operations, and the ability to interpret technical data.

Qualifications

• Current FAA A&P certificate is required.
• Minimum five years of aircraft maintenance, inspection, or quality experience.
• Experience in FAA Part 145 repair-station operations.
• Proficiency in 14 CFR Parts 43, 65, and 145.
• Ability to interpret technical data and identify nonconforming work.
• IA preferred but not required.
• Business jet and Part 135 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of aircraft, engines, components, and systems for FAA and customer compliance.
• Review work orders and maintenance records for accuracy.
• Verify use of current manufacturer manuals and FAA data.
• Ensure parts meet traceability and installation eligibility.
• Document discrepancies and support corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection stamps and quality records.
• Support audits and major repair activities.
• Collaborate with technicians, crew chiefs, and engineering teams.

• Verify the use of current manufacturer manuals, FAA-approved data, and required technical documentation.
• Ensure parts meet identity, traceability, certification, and installation eligibility requirements.
• Document and resolve discrepancies and nonconforming work.
• Support quality investigations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Technicians, Crew Chiefs, Maintenance Management, and Engineering teams.
• Maintain inspection stamps, authorizations, and quality records.
• Support audits and major repair activities.
