Total Aviation Staffing, LLC seeks an MRO Quality Inspector for a client at Garner Field Airport, Uvalde, Texas. You will lead inspections of aircraft, engines, components to FAA and customer standards, review records, and ensure documentation compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold FAA A&P certificate and current airframe and powerplant credentials.
• Minimum five years of aircraft maintenance, inspection, or quality experience.
• Experience in FAA Part 145 repair-station operations.
• Strong understanding of FAA regulations and airworthiness requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical data and identify nonconforming work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft, engines, components, and systems for FAA and customer compliance.
• Review work orders, task cards, and maintenance records for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify the use of current manufacturer manuals, FAA-approved data, and required technical documentation.
• Ensure parts meet identity, traceability, certification, and installation eligibility requirements.
• Document and resolve discrepancies and nonconforming work.
• Support quality investigations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Technicians, Crew Chiefs, Maintenance Management, and Engineering teams.
• Maintain inspection stamps, authorizations, and quality records.
• Support audits and major repair activities.

Requirements

• Proficiency in 14 CFR Parts 43, 65, and 145.
• Strong understanding of maintenance recordkeeping and airworthiness requirements.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical data and identify nonconforming work.
• Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred but not required.
• Business jet and Part 135 experience preferred.
