Job summary

International Wire Group is seeking a Plant Operations & MRO Coordinator for our Rome, NY facility. The role oversees MRO inventory, purchasing, and admin tasks to keep daily operations running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in purchasing or inventory control, with ERP/inventory systems experience and strong Excel/Outlook skills. Manufacturing background a plus; on-site work in Rome, NY.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Two+ years in purchasing, inventory control, storeroom operations, or admin support preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with MRO parts, inventory management, and purchasing processes preferred.
• ERP or inventory management systems experience a plus.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, esp. Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate with maintenance techs, supervisors, vendors, and plant leadership.

Responsibilities

• MRO inventory and storeroom management.
• Order, receive, stock, and distribute maintenance parts, supplies, oils, and tools.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and process parts transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish critical supplies.
• Process parts requisitions and assist sourcing replacements.
• Inspect incoming materials for accuracy, quality, and quantity.
• Maintain organized maintenance storeroom and purchasing records.
• Coordinate purchasing with plant leadership and vendors.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Verify deliveries and invoices; maintain records.
• Provide admin support to Plant Manager and leadership team.
