Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency in Philadelphia is seeking an MRI Technologist to independently perform MRI procedures, prepare and administer medications as prescribed, and analyze imaging data to support accurate diagnoses in a clinical setting. You will select pulse sequences, follow ALARA safety principles, evaluate image quality, assist with post-processing, and educate students and healthcare staff.

Qualifications

• Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to starting.
• Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and imaging procedures.
• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
• Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical parameters, and ensure patient safety following ALARA principles.
• Evaluate image quality, verify data storage, and assist with post-processing as needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and apply MRI safety principles to minimize risks.
• Support licensed practitioners with MRI procedures and interventional techniques.
• Select suitable pulse sequences based on protocols and data acquisition requirements.
• Participate in MRI safety assessments and implant investigations.
