Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging in a clinical setting, utilizing MRI equipment and adhering to safety protocols. You will ensure patient safety, verify identities, and prepare exams with meticulous attention to confidentiality.

The role involves optimizing imaging protocols, applying ALARA principles, and evaluating image quality, while supporting interventional procedures and licensed practitioners.

Qualifications

• ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT certifications required or obtainable before employment.
• New graduates must obtain relevant registry prior to employment.
• A specialty training in Radiologic Technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient information, verify identity, and prepare for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
• Optimize imaging protocols, apply ALARA principles, and evaluate image quality.
• Assist with magnetic resonance interventional procedures and support licensed practitioners.
• Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers.
• Apply safety principles for patients, staff, and themselves, including MRI safety protocols.
• Select appropriate pulse sequences and participate in safety and implant procedures.

Role Overview:

MRI Technologists utilize radiofrequencies within a magnetic field to perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging. They independently conduct MRI procedures, prepare and administer medications as prescribed, and ensure patient safety and proper imaging protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain correct patient information, verify identity, and prepare for exams while maintaining confidentiality.


• Optimize imaging protocols, apply ALARA principles, and evaluate image quality.


• Assist with magnetic resonance interventional procedures and support licensed practitioners.
