Job summary

UVA Health Outpatient Imaging Culpeper is seeking an experienced MRI technologist to join our outpatient imaging team in Culpeper, VA. The role demands strong MRI knowledge, patient-centered care, and the ability to maintain high-quality imaging with safety-focused practice.

The ideal candidate will perform routine to complex MRI procedures, ensuring safety and adherence to standards while delivering compassionate patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum associate's degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) and maintain current valid registration from ARRT or ARMIT.
• MR advanced registration through ARRT or ARMIT is required upon hire for IDTF centers.
• Non-IDTF centers require MR advanced registry within the first 12 months of employment.
• Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards, accreditation requirements, and departmental policies.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, training, onboarding, and performance support.
• Perform high-quality MRI procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
• Troubleshoot equipment and workflow issues in collaboration with service vendors and leadership.
• Monitor image quality and ensure adherence to established protocols.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction goals.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and referring providers to optimize patient care
