Job summary

UVA Imaging in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for our outpatient imaging team. The role offers a full-time schedule with no call and no overnight shifts, and the chance to advance MRI skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include performing routine and advanced MRI exams, ensuring patient safety, operating equipment, administering contrast when needed, and collaborating with radiologists to deliver high-quality images.

Qualifications

• Up to 5 years experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Associates Degree in Radiology or graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
• Must be ARRT in Radiography or ARRT/ARMIT MR registry; MR advanced registry required for IDTF centers; MR registry within 12 months for non-IDTF centers.
• Must meet state licensure requirements for the practicing state.
• Knowledge of MRI protocols, anatomy, and related radiopharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced MRI exams.
• Screen patients and follow MRI safety protocols.
• Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively.
• Administer contrast as appropriate.
• Monitor patients throughout their exams.
• Explain procedures and help patients feel comfortable.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Work closely with radiologists and other clinical team members.
