Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist Trainee to support safe, high-quality MR studies on site and remotely. You will collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and patients, and may train new staff.

The role emphasizes patient safety, pre-screening, and accurate imaging; candidates should have ARRT or MR certification eligibility, CPR, and flexibility to work across multiple locations. This is a growing opportunity within a nationwide outpatient radiology network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid state driver’s license as applicable.
• 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or ongoing MRI training program enrollment.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic technique.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic MR images.
• Operate multiple MR systems as required.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients and team members.
• Train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants on site and/or remote.
