Job summary

Akumin Operating Corp. seeks an MRI Technologist Trainee to help deliver high-quality MR studies with a focus on patient safety. The role supports radiologists, team members, and patients across on-site and remote settings.

Training and orientation of new technologists and assistants may be required. Essential duties include safety pre-screening, image acquisition on multiple MR systems, and clear communication with customers and radiologists.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening and aseptic technique.
• Produce high quality diagnostic MR images and operate MR systems.
• Train and orient new technologists and assistants on site or remotely.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
