MRI Technologist in Training

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist in Training to join our team. We are committed to advancing radiology as a critical step in diagnosis and treatment. Join us and shine brighter together!

As an MRI Technologist in Training, you will operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images under supervision, providing patient-centered care and excellent customer service. You will guide patients through the process, addressing their questions and concerns about the procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Patient MRI Imaging with Supervision (90%)
  • Screen patients for precautions or contradictions, using two identifiers to ensure accuracy
  • Explain procedures and prepare patients, including positioning and support throughout the exam
  • Perform routine MRI procedures with minimal supervision, adjusting scan parameters as needed
  • Perform advanced MRI procedures with support and supervision
  • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring providers, and colleagues
  • Follow physicians' orders and safety regulations
  • Accurately document patient records in RIS
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensure compliance with ACR accreditation standards and HIPAA guidelines
  1. Department Support (5%)
  • Assist with imaging protocol updates and software upgrades
  • Monitor and request medical supplies as needed
  1. Other Tasks (5%)

Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • ARRT or ARMRIT registration, current and in good standing, with plans to pass RT boards within two months
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved radiography program; licensure as a Radiological Technologist if applicable
  • Current CPR certification
  • Within 18 months of employment, obtain training and certification to perform MRI procedures independently
