Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MR Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies on site and/or remote, ensuring patient safety and effective communication with radiologists and staff. The role includes pre-screening for contraindications, training new technologists and assistants, producing diagnostic images on multiple MR systems, and maintaining rigorous patient and workflow hygiene in a mobile environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification required.
• 3 months MRI clinical scanning experience or enrolled in MRI training program.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic technique.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic MR images across multiple MR systems.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, patients and team members.
• Train and orient new MR technologists and assistants on site or remotely.
