Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies, ensuring patient safety, and coordinating with radiologists. The role may be on-site or remote and requires strong communication with team members and patients.

Requirements include ARRT MR licensure or ARMRIT as applicable, CPR certification, and a valid state license. Training will be provided for staff onboarding and cross-location collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; ARRT MR licensure preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and screen for contraindications.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic MR images.
• Operate multiple MR systems as needed.
• Train and orient technologists, patient coordinators, and assistants.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and customers.
