Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a MRI Technologist to join our team at Primary Children’s Lehi and Riverton locations. The role involves performing diagnostic MRI exams, working with radiologists and healthcare professionals, and delivering high-quality imaging in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT or ARRT(R) cross-trained in MRI.
• BLS for healthcare providers.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT/ modality competency in all clinical/technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
• Assists and instructs students and other MRI Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
• Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Understands and operates equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
