Job summary

Intermountain Health is hiring an MRI Technologist for Saint George Regional Hospital, Hurricane Valley Satellite ED, and Imaging Center. Responsible for performing diagnostic MRI exams, ensuring image quality, and patient comfort in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT MR/ARMRIT or ARRT R cross‑training, BLS, and IV competency. Shifts are 10 hours, Monday through Thursday, with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 and relocation assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR, ARMRIT, or ARRT R cross-trained in MRI.
• Current BLS for healthcare providers.
• IV competency within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT/ARRT or modality competency in clinical and technical functions.
• Prepares patient identifications, orders, and exam setup.
• Performs MRI exams per protocol and reviews image quality.
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits while ensuring care quality.
• Mentors students and other MRI staff on protocols and equipment.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort during imaging.
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and information systems to ensure image quality.
• Keeps accurate records of patient procedures and reactions.
• Follows coding, charging, consents, QC, and reports equipment failures.
