Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT cross-trained in MRI and licensed as required.
• BLS for healthcare providers must be current.
• IV competency demonstrated within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT/competency in clinical and technical MRI functions.
• Verify patient identity, prepare for exams, and ensure safety.
• Perform exams per protocol; review images for quality and accuracy.
• Adhere to MRI safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies efficiently while preserving patient care and image quality.
• Instruct students and other MRI staff on protocols and positioning.
• Educate patients and ensure comfort and address concerns.
• Apply infection control and sterile technique practices.
• Operate MRI equipment and related information systems.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and any reactions.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and QC.
