Job summary

MedQuest Imaging in Irmo, SC is seeking a Full-Time MRI Technologist. The role includes performing MRI scans, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high imaging standards. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI.
• Must complete required CEU’s to ensure Certification remains active.
• Active state licensure, where applicable.
• CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete scans effectively and efficiently and collect pertinent patient data.
• Screen the patient for ferrous and RF-sensitive material before entering the magnetic field.
• Position and prepare patients for MRI procedures and select immobilization devices as needed.
• Review the patient’s chart and physician’s request to determine optimal scanning parameters.
• Prepare and administer contrast agents in accordance with regulations.
• Enter patient information to initiate scans and monitor patient status during procedures.
• Review images to determine if additional scans will enhance diagnostic value.
• Document and archive images according to guidelines.
• Maintain safety, accuracy in positioning, and equipment readiness.
• Continuing education and cross-training for additional modalities.
