Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations using 3T, mobile, and upright scanners. You will work with protocol support and MR Safety Officers to deliver diagnostic imaging in a patient-centric environment.

The role requires ARRT(R) and ARMRIT eligibility and a 01–02 year experience mix. A 40-hour work week, explicit sign-on and relocation incentives, and a focus on safety and teamwork define this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Experience: 0 to 2 years of modality specific work experience, at least 1 year of X-Ray experience preferred.
• Required Registration/Certification: ARRT (R) registration; ARMRIT eligibility/recertification within 1 year.
• BLS certification required (AHA/Red Cross)

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations across age groups.
• Operate MRI equipment safely to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Utilize MRI resources and protocols to ensure timely imaging services.
• Prepare and educate patients to promote comfort and cooperation.
• Adhere to safety standards and infection control practices.
• Monitor patients and respond to needs during examinations.
• Maintain patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team for patient care.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of MRI equipment and work areas.
