Job summary

OU Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for the Stephenson Cancer Center Imaging team. The role may be filled at Level 1, 2, or 3 based on experience, certifications, and education.

Entry‑level MRI Technologist I conducts routine studies under direct supervision, contributing to safe and efficient imaging workflows. Responsibilities include patient prep, history correlation, contrast administration, image transfer to EMR/PACS, and ongoing quality control.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology or nuclear medicine program as defined by ARRT or ARMRIT or completion of JRCERT military program accepted.
• MRI certification required within 12 months of hire (I/II/III levels).
• Associate degree required for MRI Technologist II/III

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered MRI examinations under supervision.
• Prepare patients and correlate history with exam orders to support imaging.
• Safely administer contrast per protocol.
• Recognize and correct basic imaging artifacts; seek guidance as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team.
• Transfer images to EMR/PACS and document studies for reporting.
• Perform routine quality control, equipment cleaning and maintenance per protocol.
• Document accurately and participate in continuing education and research initiatives.
