Ochsner Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to maintain safety in the MRI environment and to perform routine MRI procedures. The role mentors junior staff, requires a high school diploma, and 6 months of MRI experience. BLS, ARRT/licensure, and ongoing MRI certification within two years are required.

A sign-on bonus may apply. The position involves operating MRI equipment, reviewing images for quality, and supporting departmental operations while ensuring patient confidentiality and safety

Formación

• Required - High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months MRI clinical scanning experience required.
• ARRT registered or unlimited state license required; alternate pathways acceptable with related imaging certification and degree.
• Advanced MRI certification required within two years of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Verifies physician orders and procedure accuracy.
• Operates MRI equipment and completes imaging per protocol.
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Reviews patient images to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Completes timely quality control procedures and assists in departmental operations.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and safety standards.
