Job summary

OU Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for the Pediatric Radiology department. The role, available at levels I–III, involves performing routine MRI exams under supervision, preparing patients, and ensuring safety and image quality for accurate diagnoses.

Eligible candidates may be new grads or experienced technologists with BLS and ARRT/ARMRIT credentials within 12 months of hire. Sign‑on and relocation benefits may be offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology or nuclear medicine program as defined by ARRT or ARMRIT.
• ARRT(RT) or ARMRIT certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine MRI examinations under supervision following established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Prepare patients, review clinical history, and ensure imaging quality for physician interpretation.
• Safely administer contrast per protocol and monitor patient responses.
• Transfer images to EMR/PACS and complete basic documentation.
• Participate in quality control, equipment maintenance, and infection control per manufacturer instructions.
