Job summary

UPMC is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI scans, ensure patient safety, and maintain accurate imaging records in a busy radiology department.

This role requires ARRT certification, MR registry timelines, BLS, and ability to work with RIS, ISITE, and Rad Assessment systems; sign-on bonus and loan repayment programs are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT within 6 months.
• MR registry must be acquired within 18 months; CNMT/ARDMS/ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months.
• BLS/CPR required per AHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment and maintain patient safety during procedures.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and follow universal protocol.
• Review orders, tailor imaging protocols, and document history.
• Administer contrast as needed and record in electronic systems.
• Code, archive, and process exams in RIS/ISITE/Rad Assessment.
