Job summary

The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a full-time MRI technologist to operate MRI scanners, ensure patient safety, obtain consent and coordinate with radiologists to deliver high-quality images.

The role requires BLS and ARRT credentials, an approved radiologic technology program and a high school diploma. The organization offers a competitive benefits package including a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• ARRT certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs checks of diagnosis, prescription, Epic order and patient ID.
• Greets patients, confirms identifications and explains procedure.
• Obtains history, screens for surgeries, explains procedures and gains consent.
• Places angiocatheters and administers MR contrast as directed.
• Operates MRI scanner, RF coils, workstations and MR injectors.
• Monitors patient status and documents quality assurance and safety.
