Job summary

Alliance Community Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MR imaging, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality under a radiologist’s supervision. You will adhere to established protocols and maintain high-quality imaging standards.

The role requires ARRT MRI certification, BLS with RQI training, effective communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to support optimal patient care across shifts.

Qualifications

• ARRT MRI certification required.
• Maintain current certifications as required.
• Knowledge of level II MRI safety.
• Ability to operate MRI equipment.
• Medical Imaging experience preferred.
• BLS with RQI training required.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Identify each patient and review physician orders for accuracy.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Administer contrast agents as required, following safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in HIPAA compliance.
• Review each examination for quality.
• Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of MRI equipment; report malfunctions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure optimal patient care.
• Adhere to infection control and safety procedures.
• Pursue continuing education to stay current with advancements.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and stock supplies.
• Adhere to hospital policies.
