Job summary

OSS Health is seeking an MRI technologist to perform diagnostic examinations and assist in department functions in a safety-focused environment. You will prepare patients, adhere to MRI safety standards, and ensure high-quality imaging. A sign-on bonus is available.

The role requires ARRT MRI certification, BLS, and strong computer and communication skills; prior experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current MRI certification from ARRT required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Must have proficient computer skills.
• Must be able to work independently and plan and organize work.
• Must have professional and effective communication skills at all levels.
• Venipuncture certification preferred.
• Previous experience preferred, with at least two years strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes thorough and accurate patient medical histories or reviews and updates current visits.
• Strict MRI safety measures and protection devices to comply with regulations and ensure safety of patients and staff.
• Correlates patients’ identification and clinical history with the examination.
• Reviews and evaluates images for diagnostic quality.
• Maintains MRI equipment including coils.
• Explains procedures and observes patients for safety and comfort during scan.
• Documentation of scan sequences and patient data.
• Assists with lifting and positioning patients.
• Reports unusual occurrences to supervisor.
• Continued personal professional development.
