Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams, position patients, and ensure high-quality images. The role supports a Level One Trauma Center environment within Hartford HealthCare, operating 24/7 across three GE high-field scanners.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT or ARMRIT credentials with MRI focus and a current BLS. New hires are eligible for a $10,000 signing bonus, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth within the radiology team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or ARMRIT with an Associate Degree focusing in MRI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams according to established protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures.
• Inject contrast media as needed and select imaging parameters to produce diagnostic images.

Shift Detail: 3 12 hour shifts. 11a-11:30p, rotating every 3rd weekend.

MRI is looking for highly motivated individuals who would like to work in a busy Level One Trauma Center where MRI operates 24/7 on 3 GE High Field Scanners.

Summary:

The MRI Technologist performs MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exam in the hospital by selecting specific software parameters according to established protocols in order to assist the referring physician in diagnosis. The MRI Tech prepares and positions patients, injects patients with contrast media, and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or graduate from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) with an Associate Degree with focus in medical image preferably MRI.
