Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams in a Level One Trauma Center setting. You will position patients, administer contrast when needed, and adjust imaging parameters to capture high-quality cross-sectional images for medical diagnosis.

The role requires graduated training in radiography or MRI with ARRT/ARMRIT credentials and BLS certification, in a busy 24/7 environment. New hires may receive a signing bonus of $10,000 and opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or ARMRIT with an Associate Degree with focus in MRI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams by selecting software parameters per established protocols to assist diagnosis.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging.
• Inject contrast media when indicated and ensure accurate parameter selection to produce cross-sectional images.

MRI is looking for highly motivated individuals who would like to work in a busy Level One Trauma Center where MRI operates 24/7 on 3 GE High Field Scanners.

Summary:

The MRI Technologist performs MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exam in the hospital by selecting specific software parameters according to established protocols in order to assist the referring physician in diagnosis. The MRI Tech prepares and positions patients, injects patients with contrast media, and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
