Job summary

Hartford Hospital, part of the Hartford HealthCare system, is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate 24/7 MRI services in a Level One Trauma Center with three GE High Field Scanners. The role involves preparing patients, selecting protocol parameters, and delivering high-quality cross-sectional images to assist diagnosis.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiography program and ARRT/ARMRIT MRI certification, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• MRI technologist must have ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification and hospital imaging knowledge.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations, selecting appropriate software parameters per protocols.
• Prepare and position patients, inject contrast media as needed, and acquire diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the scanning process.

MRI is looking for highly motivated individuals who would like to work in a busy Level One Trauma Center where MRI operates 24/7 on 3 GE High Field Scanners.

Summary:

The MRI Technologist performs MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exam in the hospital by selecting specific software parameters according to established protocols in order to assist the referring physician in diagnosis. The MRI Tech prepares and positions patients, injects patients with contrast media, and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or graduate from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) with an Associate Degree with focus in medical image preferably MRI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
