Job summary

Hartford Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams in a high-volume Level One Trauma Center. The role involves patient positioning, contrast administration, and selecting imaging parameters to support accurate diagnoses.

The position offers 3 twelve-hour shifts (11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.), with rotating weekends and a $10,000 signing bonus for new hires. Hartford HealthCare provides competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or ARMRIT with an Associate Degree with focus in medical imaging, preferably MRI.
• BLS certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams according to established protocols to assist physician diagnosis.
• Prepare and position patients and inject contrast media as needed.
• Select appropriate technical parameters to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images.

MRI is looking for highly motivated individuals who would like to work in a busy Level One Trauma Center where MRI operates 24/7 on 3 GE High Field Scanners.

Summary:

The MRI Technologist performs MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exam in the hospital by selecting specific software parameters according to established protocols in order to assist the referring physician in diagnosis. The MRI Tech prepares and positions patients, injects patients with contrast media, and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or graduate from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) with an Associate Degree with focus in medical image preferably MRI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
