Job summary

Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams, prepare patients, inject contrast, and select imaging parameters to assist referrals. This role supports the Level 1 Trauma Center and operates on 3 GE High Field Scanners in a 24/7 environment.

New hires may receive a $10,000 signing bonus; shifts are 3 twelve-hour blocks, 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., with weekend rotations. Hartford HealthCare offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or ARMRIT with an Associate Degree with focus in MRI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams by selecting protocol parameters to assist diagnosis.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
• Inject contrast media and adjust imaging parameters for quality images.

MRI is looking for highly motivated individuals who would like to work in a busy Level One Trauma Center where MRI operates 24/7 on 3 GE High Field Scanners.

Summary:

The MRI Technologist performs MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exam in the hospital by selecting specific software parameters according to established protocols in order to assist the referring physician in diagnosis. The MRI Tech prepares and positions patients, injects patients with contrast media, and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
