Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams, position patients, and manage contrast and technical parameters within a Level One Trauma Center environment. The role supports 24/7 MRI operations across three GE High Field scanners and contributes to the hospital’s mission to deliver cutting-edge imaging care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or ARMRIT with an Associate Degree focused in MRI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams and operate MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
• Position patients, administer contrast as needed, and adjust parameters per protocol.

MRI is looking for highly motivated individuals who would like to work in a busy Level One Trauma Center where MRI operates 24/7 on 3 GE High Field Scanners.

Summary:

The MRI Technologist performs MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exam in the hospital by selecting specific software parameters according to established protocols in order to assist the referring physician in diagnosis. The MRI Tech prepares and positions patients, injects patients with contrast media, and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or graduate from American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) with an Associate Degree with focus in medical image preferably MRI.
