Job summary

Atrium Health Union West MRI Technologist I is a part-time, PRN as needed position within Atrium Health Union West. The role focuses on operating MRI scanners, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to departmental protocols for imaging procedures.

Qualified candidates will have ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology training, MRI registry eligibility or ARMRIT, and CPR certification, with registry expected within a year of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI scanners per departmental protocols and standards.
• Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam.
• Prepare patients and provide a brief explanation of the procedures.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast according to protocols.
• Maintains proper patient identification and documentation.
• Maintains knowledge of MRI safety and reports issues as needed.
