Job summary

Atrium Health Union West is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform procedures with high proficiency using MRI scanners and related equipment. The role includes patient preparation, order verification with Radiologists, and ensuring safe, quality imaging under established protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Active enrollment in MRI ARRT registry eligible or ARMRIT program required.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire. CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI scanners and associated equipment per departmental protocols.
• Prepares patients, identifies them correctly, and documents procedures.
• Interacts with Radiologists to review orders and discuss findings as needed.
• Performs IV contrast administration according to protocols and records usage.
• Maintains patient safety, monitors for adverse reactions, and follows radiation safety standards.
• Assists in invasive procedures and supports the medical team during exams.
