Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an MRI Technologist for High Point Medical Center in High Point, NC. The role requires ARRT accreditation or eligibility in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology, and MRI registry eligibility with a plan to obtain within a year of hire. PRN as needed with compensation in the stated pay range.

The candidate will perform MRI scanning, prepare patients, and ensure safety and quality standards while coordinating with Radiology staff and physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Tech program.
• MRI registry eligible or ARMRIT program required.
• MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders for each patient.
• Refer and question orders to Radiologist before exam.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and explain procedures briefly.
• Prepare patients for procedures and document appropriately.
• Gather complete medical history and review EMR for relevant history.
• Record medical history on requisitions and correlate results with the exam.
• Administer and record IV contrast per protocol; monitor patient response.
• Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and radiation safety standards during MRI procedures.
