Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a qualified MRI technologist for High Point Medical Center in High Point, NC. This PRN (as needed) position requires ARRT-recognized radiologic or nuclear medicine education and MRI registry eligibility with registry within 1 year of hire.

You’ll perform MRI exams, prepare patients, administer IV contrast per protocol, ensure safety, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver accurate, timely results in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program.
• BLS certification required.
• MRI registry eligible; must obtain registry within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist before exam; contact provider for discrepancies.
• Identify patients using two identifiers; prepare patients and explain procedures.
• Interview patients; review EMR for history and document medical history on requisitions.
• Perform MRI exams from start to dictated results; ensure image quality.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol; record contrast used.
• Maintain radiation safety and assist during invasive procedures with sterile technique.
