Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist for the 05505 GCMG Imaging Center: Kenilworth - Radiology: MRI in Charlotte, NC. This PRN role requires completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program and MRI credentialing within one year of hire.

The technician will perform MRI scans, verify orders with the Radiologist, and ensure patient safety, while maintaining accurate MAR documentation and radiology workflows.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program or active enrollment in ARMRIT or ARRT registry eligible program.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI required within one year of hire.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders and confirm with Radiologist before exam.
• Identify patients with two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Review clinical history and correlate results with exam.
• Perform MRI scanning from start to finish of the exam.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol; document usage.
