Responsibilities

1. Perform all body imaging and diagnostic procedures involved in MRI.
2. Assist and perform equipment calibration and quality control procedures.
3. Position and transfer patients safely, maintaining their physical requirements.
4. Assist radiologists with in-depth procedures.
5. Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
6. Provide radiology support across modalities.
7. Administer contrast agents per physician request and departmental policies.
8. Prepare for IV insertions, including setup, insertion, and positioning, following aseptic techniques.
9. Report to the Lead CT/MRI Technologist or Operations Manager/Director.
10. Follow safety protocols to minimize risks, including exposure to radiation, chemicals, and biological hazards.

Qualifications

• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
• MR imaging certification by ARRT required within 12 months of hire.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Effective communication skills in English (Verbal/Written).
