Position Summary

The MRI Technologist performs complex imaging and general radiology procedures, adhering to safety standards and supporting patient care. Responsibilities include:

1. Performing MRI procedures and other body imaging diagnostics.
2. Assisting with equipment calibration and quality control.
3. Positioning and transferring patients safely.
4. Supporting radiologists during procedures.
5. Explaining procedures to patients and addressing questions.
6. Administering contrast agents per physician request and departmental policies.
7. Preparing for IV insertions and maintaining aseptic techniques.

Qualifications

• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists.
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification required within 12 months of hire.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Effective communication skills in English.

Physical and Safety Considerations

This role involves exposure to hazards such as infections, radiation, chemicals, and potential injuries. Safety protocols are mandatory.
