Job Summary and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Radiologist, the MRI Technologist (PRN) performs MRI scans and all related duties on GE 1.5‑T and 0.2‑T Profile magnets. The role includes:
- Obtaining high‑quality images used by physicians to diagnose various pathologies.
- Participating in the establishment of scan protocols and executing specific applications.
- Administering contrast agents and maintaining knowledge of MRI safety techniques.
- Ensuring compliance with hospital mission, core values, and the Performance Improvement Plan.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved School of Diagnostic Technology.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist.
- Registered with ARRT (R) at hire.
- Rescanned Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification through ARRT at hire or within 12 months.
- Preferred: 3+ years of MRI experience.
