Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and patient care. The role includes operating MRI equipment, delivering diagnostic images with accurate factors, and communicating findings to physicians.

Responsibilities include assisting with inventory, patient scheduling, and participating in after-hours call coverage as needed. A certified radiologic technologist with MRI training and state licensure is required.

Qualifications

• MRI knowledge and imaging procedures required.
• BCLS within 30 days of employment.
• ARRT and state radiologic licensure required.
• 6 months related experience in radiology or MRI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides care for patients requiring MRI procedures.
• Operates MRI equipment and sets appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic images.
• Relays images and pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation.
• Assists with inventory management and patient scheduling.
• Takes backup call for after-hours coverage.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides care for patients requiring MRI procedures. Performs all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing MRI for diagnostic procedures. Operates equipment setting appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic quality images according to radiology practice standards, and relay images along with pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation. Assistswith inventory management and patient scheduling. Takes backup call as assigned to provide after-hours high volume coverage. All employees of North Florida Hospital will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission requirements, and National Patient Safety standards.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
• State Registered Radiologic Technician
• Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technologist program. Completion of MRI Training
• 6 months of related experience is required
