Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an MRI technologist for a part-time position at 36311 AMC Sheboygan County – MRI. The role requires operating MR equipment for basic to intermediate imaging including musculoskeletal and neuro exams, with patient history checks and contrast administration under a Radiologist's direction.

The candidate must hold an MRI-related certification and comply with safety and QA procedures, with flexible hours and varying schedules.

Qualifications

Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy.
IV and venipuncture skills.
Good communication with patients and staff.
Ability to work independently.
Intermediate computer skills.
MRI certification addendum requirements.

Responsibilities

Operates MRI equipment for basic to intermediate diagnostic procedures (musculoskeletal, brain, body imaging).
Obtains patient history, verifies orders, and administers contrast media under Radiologist guidance.
Positions patient, adjusts scanning factors, and ensures magnet safety per regulations.
Post-processes images and labels them with patient details and scan location.
Maintains radiology records and documents billing codes in the information system.
Identifies equipment issues and conducts QA tests; reports malfunctions.
Performs patient handling tasks, lifting and moving as needed.
Adheres to age-specific patient care guidelines and department policies.
